Merlyn Driver is a twenty-four-year-old writer and musician from the Orkney Islands in the north of Scotland. He didn't attend school for much of his childhood and spent most of this time exploring the natural world, or making music in mysterious (and largely fictional) languages. Merlyn spent four years studying social anthropology at the University of St Andrews, and in 2011 travelled to the Norwegian Arctic in order to research joik, the traditional 'song' of the Sámi people.
