A brief overview of my work (up to 400 characters)
John F. Cryan, Ph.D.,is professor and chair in the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience, University College Cork in Ireland. He is also a principal investigator in the APC Microbiome Institute. Cryan has published over 330 peer-reviewed articles, is a senior editor of Neuropharmacology and of Nutritional Neuroscience, and is on the editorial board of 15 other journals. He has edited three books, including Microbial Endocrinology: The Microbiota-Gut-Brain Axis in Health and Disease (Springer Press, 2014). His awards include UCC Researcher of the Year in 2012 and the University of Utrecht Award for Excellence in Pharmaceutical Research in 2013. Cryan was named to the Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher list in 2014, was a TEDMED speaker in Washington in 2014, and was named president-elect of the European Behavioural Pharmacology Society in 2015.
